How to Find Symbol Codes for Web Pages

Step1
Visit a Web site, such as the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), that offers a listing of all available character entities (symbols).

Step2
Purchase an HTML 4.0 reference book. A reference book will usually have a table of all character entities.

Step3
Go to an online reference sheet, such as the Webmonkey Special Characters Reference Guide. These references usually display both the numeric and the alphabetical code, as well as the resulting symbol.
